Greetings, Hard Chip players!
1. Update on Camera behaviors: The camera in the editor received a few tweaks. Bounds are tighter to avoid losing sight of the circuit while respecting the angle of view still. Zoom will be faster when far away too, avoiding scrolling infinitely. The mode free view, now uses Shift to accelerate speed, Ctrl, and Space to go up and down. This allows to move around more intuitively.
On complex and large circuits it can be hard to know what's connected to what. This mode aims at helping to identify interconnected part by coloring them with the same colors. It also hides traces always connected to Up or Down terminals.
Now it's possible to power/activate mos directly on top of them! This enables to compact circuits even more!
Bothered by too many labels? That button for ya.
6. QOL, Bug, and Crash fixes:
1. Challenges are locked in Story mode. Must finish one before doing the others.
2. Textbox fix. Now, you can backspace, enter, and type 'v' without issue.
3. Simulation-only benchmarks added. Those target only the CPU by removing any render.
4. Wrong unmodifiable positions in almost all challenges fixed (thx Keresto!)
5. Some regressions on the simulation performance were fixed. (not all of them though, yet)
6. Missing schematics for some challenges fixed
7. "PerformanceMonitor" crash fix
8. Skippable texts in Story mode
As always, your feedback/suggestions/comments are instrumental in making this game.
Thank you for playing Hard Chip, and stay tuned for more updates and new features!
