Plugin Update
PixelpartA downloadable tool for Windows and Linux
Currently, I'm working on a big feature release for Pixelpart with lots of new stuff like 3D mesh particles, lighting and noise fields. This is gonna take a bit of time, but in the meantime I've improved the plugins for Godot and Unity and fixed some bugs! As always, you can download the newest plugins at pixelpart.net/get/.
Updates for Godot 3/4
- Added icons for nodes PixelpartEffect2D and PixelpartEffect (Godot 4.1)
- Fixed problems with rendering particles trails that had the "Smooth" option enabled
- Fixed problems with texturing of particles sprites that appeared upside-down if using certain alignment modes
- Improved performance of particle simulation engine
- Improved performance of particle sprite rendering if particle sorting is enabled
Updates for Unity Engine
- Fixed generation of particles shaders: Now particle shaders that have the same shader code as other shaders properly reuse that shader file.
- Fixed problems with rendering particles trails that had the "Smooth" option enabled
- Fixed bug that caused particles to have the wrong alignment when using some alignment modes like the "Motion" alignment mode
- Improved performance of particle simulation engine
- Improved performance of particle sprite rendering if particle sorting is enabled
