itch.io recently completed a change in domains which made cookies from the previous domain invalid.
as you a result, the online version of LOS won’t find any previous initials or personal high scores which was/is used to execute the ladder functionality. ie, you’re free to re-enter your initials and start the climb once again.
i know one who has since pursued that notion and tore back up the board leaving a trail of flame behind which i’ve stomped off the board except their (personal best) #3 spot (which is probably a good spot for them!) :)
in other news, the top 2’s had a bit of a slugfest this morning which we both appreciated while cracking the 23K mark: #motivation!
IIRC, ~27K is the max possible which only the most-devout followers of RNGesus could ever hope to achieve so hone your skills in anticipation of that opportunity.
for now, 24K would be the next plateau so go crack it!
speaking of scoring: would anyone like a detailed breakdown of what’s (potentially) worth what in game? where i’ve noted that not many read the instructions to the game, i don’t know if any would read that short treatise, either. but, comment below if you would :)
