Hello again!
There have been significant changes to our game as we start to integrate the art models and soundtracks :)
November 8:
- Added visual indication for where the other player will land then the player throws and when the player yanks them
- Changed the yank mechanic to yank on release and not on press
November 9:
- Major revamp of the first level to remove the maze and make it so that every platform can lead to the end of the level
- Added controller map scene in between intro scene and game scene so it will be more visible to the players
November 10:
- Second TA feedback session! Some of the feedbacks we got were:
November 11:
- New models for trees
November 12:
- Changes to make the gravity feel less strong
- Added auto-recovery for when the player hits the edge of the platforms
- Changes to make the camera smoother and slightly slower
- New soundtrack for the second level, ambient sounds, and sound effects
November 13:
- Added pick-up and throw mechanic so that one player picks up and holds the other player before they throw
- Fixed the bug where the players would switch sides from the intro scene to the game
November 14:
- Updated the first level to use assets by the art team
- Updated controller map to include the new pick up and throw mechanic
- Updated our old intro scene to use the input manager
- New models for mountain pillars
November 15:
- Updated level 1 soundtrack
Next Steps:
- Integrate the new soundtracks and ambient sounds
- Integrate art assets and animations as they come in
- Explore moving platforms and crumbling platforms
- Introducing instructive signage for the tutorial segment of the first level
- Continue developing the second and third levels
