Hello, dear friends!
Following my little break, I've made some new updates to the Bright Oak demo in preparation for publishing it on Steam! While most of these are relatively small, I believe they draw the overall quality of the game closer to what the finished product should be--for example, including some blinking animations (Sparrow and Jasper are still awaiting theirs), tinkering a bit on the visual effects and UI, and perhaps most strikingly, implementing the new and improved night sky:
Extra thanks as always to the wonderful coding wizard Wudgeous (who--mark your calendars!--is busily preparing their upcoming December 2nd update to Herotome!), and also to Windchimes, who very kindly assisted me with some final coding issues that cropped up.
I hope that everyone is warm and well as we continue sliding toward the year's end, and I look forward to sharing more content on the full release in 2024! 💚
