I used a website called Pcjs, a website that has a bunch of old emulated computers to look at the OS's of old. I looked at MS DOS, Windows 1.0 and Windows 3.0, and took screenshots to use in the game.

I'll use these to make my backgrounds and take inspirations
Also, I've made a moving character, and figured out how to change the character's texture. Hoping to have a minimum viable product ready tomorrow.
