hello again!
I've got yet another big update this time, since I am pushing to get this demo done by the end of the year. so, as of this update, I think Silt Spawn now technically is a game and not just a tech demo. rather, it can actually be played now--you can open it up and just play! wow!
so what exactly did I add? well, for the sake of brevity, I'll just list the new things:
- a spawning/new game animation
- starvation mechanics and animation (screenshot above)
- autosave between silt storms, saving when quitting, and a decent amount of checks to prevent crashes when loading a corrupted save file
- collectable items have a small chance of respawning between silt storms
- general bugfixes
so yeah! we're in the homestretch, which means now I can focus on content to round out the experience. turn this demo from a 5-10 minute experience into a 45-60 minute experience. oh, and music/sound effects of course. sounds like a lot, but I have it all planned out and feel confident that I can get most, if not all of it done in time!
t-minus two(ish) months until release. :)
