Hello in November!
I skipped last month’s devlog because despite pouring all my free time into the game, I didn’t feel like I had anything to show for it. (and it kinda sucked the motivation out of me 😔)
This month, I tried to tackle the game from a different angle, with more focus on the assets and code, and the overall completion status feels a lot better now. I finished the majority of CGs and cleaned up all of the code to fix some visual issues. I also removed around 3000 filler words from the script to make the text flow better. (still my biggest problem, ngl) But thanks to that, I feel that those few last chapters will be a lot more enjoyable now. ^^
All in all, the game is about 97% done? I think I should be able to announce the release date in the next devlog. Hope you’ll be looking forward to it. 😊
My goal for the next month will be to finish all the writing. I’m about halfway done writing the remaining hangout scenes and the special route is at about 90% (if you ignore the CGs 😅). I still need to write an additional scene for the main storyline and then program all of that in. Worst case scenario, I might have to cut some corners. But I already set a finish line for myself and I’m planning to cross it no matter what. (It’s been almost four years, I just want the game to be done!) (I also want people to get to a certain ending I cooked up) (you’re not ready for it 😇)
What else can you expect in Part Three?
Also! In case you missed it, I recently released version 2.1 of the game. There’s no new content, but the update fixes some bugs introduced in 2.0 and reduces file size by over 150MB.
