Ferrous Team - Week 6

Completed this week::
- Game UI:
- Game end menu
- Redesigned the game start menu and pause menu
- Added controls page that shows users how to play the game
- Implemented
- Again fixed bugs for power blocks and ray effects from power blocks not working
- Polished tutorial levels and first level
- Added ceiling models to the levels
- Added a secondary camera when object is being push/pulled so the player can see what is the result of their interaction
- Added a linked object manager to recreate linked objects. This linked object manager also has visual feedback for the player to show which objects are linked. There is a translucent line that is shown at the beginning of the level.
- Merged animations for movement and handraising
- Added new sound effects and updated the background music to the full track
- Added a secondary tutorial level that introduces players to linked blocks and power blocks
- Added new materials to the levels
- Bug fixes to object puller and rays code
- Added scene manager code to handle next level interactions
- Art:
- Animations added to new controller
- Model for level hub (spaceship level select) designed
Obstacles and/or Blockers:
Important Discoveries:
- Merge conflicts caused many issues, need to be on top of these conflicts. Also need to be continuously merging the working branch into your code
Next Steps:
- Refactoring of ray code as it is being used in multiple places
- Polishing visual feedback effects
- Implement more of the animations
- Implement more complex levels that require level of depth in the thought process to solve them
- Continue iterating on CCCs
