Ferrous Team - Week 5
FerrousA downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Completed this week::
- Game UI:
- Game start menu working with controller and WASD/Arrow Keys
- Implemented
- Added universal power block implementation. Works in all directions and applies force in an opposite room.
- Built tutorial levels for basic push/pull mechanics
- Completed first level implementation
- Fixed bugs on the ray scripts that were making the rays the wrong colour
- Fixed bugs on power blocks not applying force
- Fixed level playability issues with colliders
- Removed between level (rooms) UI
- Changed to new input system implementation
- Built an animation controller for the movement animations
- Art:
- Animations & textures for handraise magnetic ability usage
- Power block models designed
- Animation fixes to existing animations
Obstacles and/or Blockers:
Important Discoveries:
- Visual feedback is extremely necessary for the player to have an idea of how the game works
Next Steps:
- Refactor a lot more of the code as there is repeated functionality
- Add visual feedback to game
- Fix the gameplay of the tutorial levels and the first level
- Merge animations and add new animations to the controller
- Continue iterating on CCCs
