SPOOKY EDITION

Love Inn
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Today is the public release of 0.1.5, so you should check it out if you haven't already! Spooky night indeed.

This weekend was busy as hell, so I'm happy to get back to this! This past week I focused on guests for 0.1.6, and fixing bugs and on feedback from the wonderful people that played the 0.1.5 Early Access.

I'll continue for a couple more days on actions for Misaki and Kenichi. Also on the new guest! I'll show and focus on her on another monday post, debut style. I'm excited to share with you.

Also I've been thinking of adding something like this to the start of the game.

Ego trip much? Wanted to do a custom logo for the game engine I use, Godot. If you didn't know, other engines like Unreal or Unity don't allow users to change or modify their logos, but Godot is open source baby.

Events: right now events start without any input from the player. That was fine at the beginning for me, but now that the game is growing, it can lead to a very railed experience.

My main idea right now is to have characters have some symbol over their heads to indicate that you can start an event with them, so the events don't start automatically (some would, like tasks / reception ones). So you could ignore an event you don't want to play right away.

Another thing: I've been looking into publishing a Steam page for the game. It wouldn't do much, but having a page up means people can wishlist it. The more total wishlists the game has, the more Steam thinks the game will do well when it eventually launches, so it would show it to more people. If this gets enough traffic that it reaches outside the boundaries of typical nsfw game circles, that would be it for me, the peak.

Long road ahead, but as we say in spanish, "despacito pero con buena letra" = ""slowly but with good handwriting". Doesn't sound as cool huh?
