Making Dashing Feel Fun
This is a fairly substantial update. Things are moving quickly!
- Added a background animation to main menu screen
- Added a bit of parallax scrolling to the boss fight
- Added dash and teleport sfx
- Changed ball explosion mechanic so it only ticks up when somebody is holding it. Also reduced time to explosion. This mechanic is meant to be a shot clock to force somebody to kick the ball after about 1 second. It now does so more directly rather than being a hot potato.
- Dashing into the ball now knocks it away from you
- Tweaked dashing acceleration to make it feel better
I may write later about the process I went through to make a good dash. At least I hope it's good. Let me know!
