R5.02 released!
The latest update on the RPG Maker Cook Tool Deluxe (codenamed “Kestrel”) brings a number of improvements, alongside changes for the upcoming Halva Bootstrapper v2.
Changelog:
- Overhauled project management:
- Overhauled the recipe file architecture for easier expandability. (Recipe files created by older versions are not compatible. Migration tool is coming a little later.)
- You can now set defaults for new projects.
- Added the option to create new recipe on the “Project and Utilities” menu.
- Improved the algorithm for determining the engine version.
- Improvements to the Halva packaging system:
- Expanded the settings for the upcoming Halva Bootstrapper v2.
- If the Halva compression type is selected, the Cook Tool will put the NW.js files to the “Binaries” folder in the project’s output.
- Improved the logging system.
- UI improvements:
- Moved the utilities to the “Utilities” sub-menu.
- Added tooltips to most of the settings in the Project Settings menu.
- Fixed some typos.
- Fixed an error, where the version numbers were mixed up.
- Fixed a bug where the “Use the computer’s RAM for compression” option didn’t apply properly.
