Space is the final frontier of television, movies and books. The same can be said for underwater places, from the depths of the ocean to the shores of a lake. So why do most video games make space and water so difficult? Is it because of the alien environment? The physics they feel the need to provide? Sometimes I wonder if the AAA science fiction games can be considered to be st in space because most of the time its just cutscenes. And sometimes I wonder why developers don't just make the underwater levels more bearable such as keeping the speed and jump height the same? I know it is supposed to add challenge to the game but it doesn't make sense, especially when the protagonist can swim. So what am I getting at here? Well to make a long story short, I think that because people play games, and not just watch them, that when designing a game one should act as ifthey are playing it for the first time.
