What was supposed to be a week-long development turned out to be almost two months, but the game is finally done. Improvements from the last alpha consist of the inclusion of an OST and some minor QoL features for the mini-map.
Regarding my motivations for making this game, I was inspired by the original Game Boy, and wanted to make my own homebrew portable console with an LCD screen. After I realized that the most realistic option for a screen was a 1-bit display, I started to imagine what effects could be done with just 2 colors. It was then that I noticed that 1-bit graphics actually have a decent potential for cool effects, so I designed a tiny platformer in my mind. But as usual with indie gamedev, scope creep became huge, and the idea for this game turned into something else entirely. While I have much higher hopes and expectations for this new idea, I felt a little sad to abandon the original one. So I resolved to quickly make this little game rather than forgetting about it :)
