10/15/23 - First Ever Devlog!!

Howdy there, and welcome to the first-ever devlog for Historical Friction!

Some background: Historical Friction is a visual novel/dating sim about time travel, folklore & history, and falling in love of course! This project was initially for my senior overview in college, but I'm developing it into a full-fledged game! (Or at least a demo for now lol) The game is being developed in Ren'Py, best known for being the engine Doki Doki Literature Club! was developed in. Because it's just me working on the project, and I have ADHD and a day job, development has been (and will continue to be) a bit spotty, but I'm going to try and hold myself accountable by releasing a new devlog at least once a month. 

And now for the actual devlog part!

• Dialogue for the demo is (tentatively) finished, save for a couple of continuity errors and different ending messages
• General style guide is in-progress 
• Promo art is in-progress
• Github repo built and in-use

That's... kinda it for now lol but like I said I'm gonna try and put out a devlog once a month, so stay tuned!
