Patch 0.8.4 (Quality of Life Patch!)

- -

ADDITIONS

-Added a secret boss that can only be fought after completing the Butting In quest in Bablo's Dojo.
 -Defeating this boss will grant Elmira upgraded versions of her fatty healing skills!

TWEAKS

-Fixed a few places where dating multiple characters (as a result of being in an open relationship with Arci) hadn't been taken into account.

 -The dinners with Karen should now be free of graphical bugs involving multiple Vicos and/or Arci/Abby/Vespa being misplaced.

 -You can now choose whether to bring Abby or Arci to the double date with Vespa and Leslie upon exiting Leslie's house. This should prevent any weirdness involving which of the two is present for the date (it won't fix save files where the player has already exited Leslie's house but hasn't told Leslie they're ready yet.)

  -This choice comes with a small cutscene to justify it in-game, but neither Abby nor Arci's approval is affected by the player's choice.


-The music during the Evelyn/Caldryn bossfight now speeds up as originally intended.

-The music during the Shaol'Ra bossfight now speeds up slightly midway through. Also tweaked some of the visual and audio effects during the fight to make it more dramatic and immersive.

-Slightly increased Avarice's MHP (from 3500 to 4000) and DEF (from 10 to 25 lol), and increased the exp gained from defeating him from 100 to 150. Also updated the scripted events during his bossfight to be slightly more dramatic.

-Slightly decreased the Spinodon's ATK (from 152 to 150) and increased the exp received from defeating it from 50 to 60.

-Increased the Datamancer's MHP (from 6000 to 8000) and increased her DEF from 30 to 50. Increased the exp received from defeating her from 75 to 100.

 -The Datamancer will now occasionally use the Tummy Thwack skill while having eaten a party member.

-Slightly decreased Judy's ATK from 110 to 105.

-Increased the DEF/MDF of the Spiteful Growth boss from 60 to 80, and increased the exp received from defeating it from 50 to 75.

-Slightly increased Ferra, the Iron Dragon's ATK from 140 to 145.

-Slightly decreased the Potato Golem's ATK from 125 to 122.

-Slightly increased Ringmaster Crelle's ATK from 150 to 155, and increased her MDF from 70 to 85.

-Slightly decreased the ATK of the Bloodmoth Eclipse enemies from 100 to 94, and decreased their AGI from 65 to 60.

-Air Crystal Shards can now be stolen from Ancient Dust Elementals and Dust Devils.

-Fire Crystal Shards can now be stolen from Fire Knights, Flashdancers, Bewitched Fire Knights, Bewitched Guardians, Sons of Skaramok, Molten Treasurers, and Creepjackers.

-Sonic Crystal Shards can now be stolen from Data Phantasms.

-Tweaked the stats of several Arena enemies.

 -Slightly decreased the speed of the Rubicund Catshark (the version of the Ravenous Catshark that is active while they have someone in their stomach) from 70 to 60, and decreased their MAT from 100 to 90. Decreased the exp received from defeating them from 200 to 125.

 -Increased the MHP of Skeiris (from 3000 to 3500) and Valkaron (from 3500 to 4000) during their encounter in the Air Gauntlet. Increased Skeiris' ATK from 135 to 140 and his AGI from 65 to 70. Increased Valkaron's DEF from 100 to 150 and his MDF from 50 to 70.

 -Slightly increased the MHP of Blusterbuss (from 6000 to 6200) during his encounter in the Air Gauntlet.

 -Increased the MHP of the Knight of Westhaven (from 6000 to 7500) during his encounter in the Air Gauntlet. Also increased his AGI from 60 to 75, and his DEF/MDF from 65 to 70.

 -Increased the DEF of Bewitched Caldryn (the version you encounter in the Fire Gauntlet) from 90 to 110.

 -Decreased the DEF of Bewitched Evelyn from 177 to 77.

 -Decreased the MHP of Bewitched Mercy from 3700 to 3000 and Bewitched Sally from 2900 to 2500.

 -Increased the MHP of Skaramok (from 10000 to 11000) during his encounter in the Fire Gauntlet.

 -Slightly decreased the MAT of the Chimera's Right Head (from 90 to 85) and increased the ATK of its Left Head (from 95 to 100.) Increased the exp received from defeating the Chimera from 50 to 75.

 -Slightly increased the DEF/MDF of both forms of Linda during her encounter in the Vore Gauntlet.


-Claire's Cleanse skill now cures the bleed status.

-Increased the speed priority of Abby's Polarize skill (it will now activate earlier when used.)

-Clark's Pop Grenade skill is now a 'certain hit' skill rather than a 'physical attack', meaning it is not affected by Blind and can no longer be countered.

-Reduced the TP cost of Vespa's Roar of Demonblood skill from 30 to 28 and increased its speed priority (it will now activate earlier when used.)

-Arci's Euvine's Grace skill now recovers 1 TP on use.

-Arci's Nature's Breath skill now recovers 3 TP on use.

-Arci's Nature's Mercy skill now cures the bleed status.

-Reduced the TP cost of Vico's Focus skill from 50 to 45.

-Increased the speed priority of the Quick Booster skill (it will now activate earlier when used.)

-Evelyn's Judgement Wing skill now recovers 1 TP per enemy hit.

-Reduced the MP cost of Cross's Whirlwind skill from 5 to 4 and very slightly increased its speed priority (it will now activate slightly earlier when used.) Also added a battle animation to it since it didn't have one before.

-The Wind and Tornado spells now debuff enemy AGI on hit.

-Reduced the TP cost of the Formations! skill from 20 to 15.

-Reduced the TP cost of Cross's Super Guard skill from 30 to 28.

-Reduced the TP cost of Cross's Tailwind Strike skill from 32 to 30.

-Reduced the MP cost of Elmira's Fatra Magic skill from 25 to 20.

-Slightly increased the speed priority of Elmira's Nurse Protocol skill (it will now activate slightly earlier when used.)

-Removed the negative speed priority of the Sonic Boom spell (it will now active less slowly when used.)

-Updated the descriptions for nearly every damaging skill and item in the game. The new descriptions will now explain the skill/items' damage formulas in more detail, as well as other 'invisible' aspects such as speed priority (if applicable).

 -Cleaned up a bunch of other skill descriptions to make them clearer and fix any instances of descriptive text running offscreen.


-Cleaned up the descriptions of nearly every weapon/armour in the game so that they no longer run offscreen.

 -Updated the descriptions of various axes, katanas, guns and spears to indicate when these weapons are slow and/or slightly inaccurate.

 -Hammer weapons now state in their descriptions that they hit more reliably than axes, but slow the wielder's attack speed in return.

 -Crossbow weapons now state in their descriptions that they raise the wielder's attack speed and Crit Chance.

 -The weaker Spellblade weapons are now slightly more accurate.

 -The Ice Pick of Sir Cirrus now grants a 10% Ice resistance.

 -Removed the significant attack speed penalty from the Marrow Axe weapon, which according to its description is supposed to be 'bizarrely swift'...

 -Slightly increased the accuracy of Monica's Pen Knife.


 -Buffed the pin accessories you get from defeating a high number of each type of half-demon. Each pin now grants a slight boost to a second stat in addition to its existing stat boost. Pins that increase MHP/MMP now state how much they increase those stats in their description.

 -Increased the LUK boost of the Scarecrow's Hat from 15 to 30. (this item may not actually be obtainable in-game currently, but I'm making a note of the change here just in case.)
 -Increased the LUK boost of the Lucky Coin accessory from 3 to 5.

 -Increased the MP cost reduction of the Darkbright Core Jewel from 5 to 10%.

 -Increased the LUK boost of the Anya's Portrait accessory from 15 to 20.

 -Added a DEF/MDF boost of 4 to the Odd Hat.

 -Increased the value of the Draco Mask from 3000 to 5000 gold and 8 to 10 Biricoins. Also updated its description to properly state that it increases MMP when equipped.

 -Increased the AGI boost of the Firewalker's Sandals accessory from 5 to 9, reduced its value from 6000 to 3000 gold and 9 to 5 Biricoins, and updated its description (and the description of the Cathix Amulet) to specify that it only protects the wearer from floor damage.

 -Removed the MHP boost from the Basic Briefs Accessory. Updated its description to properly state that it boosts MMP and TP charge rate.

 -Removed the MHP/MMP boost from the Drowned Hat and increased its DEF/MDF boost from 0 to 7. Also updated its description to hint that it prevents lowering of Thunder Resist via the 'Wet' status.

 -Removed the MMP boost from Anya's Panties and increased its LUK boost from 5 to 15.

 -The Tooth of Skaramok now properly states that it raises the wearer's odds of being critted. (Skaramok's a dick, what can I say?)

 -Increased the Ice resistance of the Heavy Space Suit from 50 to 60%.

 -Increased the AGI boost of the Bull's-Eye Buckler from 10 to 15.

 -Increased the Fire resistance of the Authentic Crown of Charon from 25 to 50%.

 -Zephryn's Mirror now properly states that it resists Wind in its description. Increased its Wind resistance from 25 to 50% and its AGI boost from 10 to 15.

 -The Mask of the Newho Tness now boosts the wearer's MDF by 10 when equipped.

 -Increased the Magic damage resistance of Keiko's panties from 10 to 15%.

 -Lani's Belt now fully resists Stun (previously it just increased Stun resistance by 75%.)

 -Increased the LUK boost of the Anya-Brand Backpack accessory from 10 to 15 and added a MDF boost of 5 to the equipment.

 -Increased the ATK/MAT boost of Raziel's Briefs from 25 to 30.

 -Sir Pall's Frock now grants the wearer an 80% resistance to Silence.


-Updated the graphics for various chests throughout the game to more accurately represent their contents (for example, all surpris fruit variants now come in the same 'fruit chests' as oppho fruit etc.)

 -Added a couple of signs in Del Nyan's Desert Arms and Twygmart which explain what each chest graphic means about its contents.

-Cleaned up and made a ton of little fixes/adjustments to various character sprites, including but not limited to Arci's default sprite, Nell's stuffed and fat sprites, Mei and Tam'Ra's sprites, Apollo's sprite, and Claire's stuffed sprite.

-Updated Ringmaster Crelle's vore alt art with a better quality version (it's the exact same, just slightly less compressed-looking!)


BUGFIXES

-Fixed a softlock in Windrush Canyon that could occur if the player talked to Vespa and initiated her date with Claire without having gone up the stairs and talked to Kortis first. For those with saves that are currently stuck due to this bug, use the debug room via the training sim item and teleport to Del Nyan to get around it!

-Fixed a bug where skipping through the dialogue betwen Claire and Renee upon first entering her basement could softlock the game.

-Fixed a bug where speaking to Lupita from the left when returning to her after defeating the datamancer would softlock the game.

-Fixed a bug with the version of the Infection skill when used by Thaddeus Vyle and Thadron, where if a party member was mana burned upon the skill's use, the notification of the infection spreading would loop infinitely, softlocking the game.

-Removed an invisible event from the overworld that would skip over all the Capital Bridge cutscenes when interacted with.

-Fixed being able to go back to Amber's place after getting a girlfriend (open relationship with Arci aside.)

 -If the player has already unlocked the option to feed Amber by the time Claire has started dating someone else, they can continue going over to Amber's place and doing so, but the option to make out with her will be disabled.

-Fixed not being able to unlock the option to explore Renee's Cafe as Cedric if the player was dating someone when they met Renee. (The cause of this was the Circus quest skipping over a bunch of dialogue options, one of which was a necessary trigger to get Cedric to open up about him and Renee, which would lead to being able to have him explore the cafe. This dialogue option will now play automatically during the cutscene with the sunlock in Renee's basement.)

-Fixed a bug where reaching a new weight tier as Lani in the Del Nyan Spa would cause the player's sprite to change back to Claire. (This is my second go at fixing this one, as it's a little stubborn. If it's still an issue this patch, let me know.)

-Reduced the frequency of a visual bug where the player's sprite would clip through the overhead wooden walkways in Crabshoot Bay and Capital City.

-Selkie should no longer repeat her offer to ferry the player to the water temple or Kalvarr when the player travels with her to either of these places.

-Abby's sprite will now properly disappear from the Capital Inn and Sorceress' lair maps after completing the relevant cutscenes in those places.

-Fixed the Kroat Carriage in Capital City's Deep Root District getting stuck on a rooftop during its move route.

-Fixed the Put Your Dagger Away! quest not being marked as completed in the quest log after meeting Lorenzo. For existing saves, the quest will now mark itself as complete upon the player returning to Penoculus.

-The Night Market Travel Gem now properly resets the flea market's inventory when used.

-Updated Vespa's Keelhaul skill so that it now recognizes the weapons added over the last two updates when determining the element used to damage the enemy.

-Fixed a bug where using Vespa's Devour skill on the Potato Golem boss would sometimes change Leslie's belly size and behaviour during the second half of the double date to something that didn't match the amount of food she'd eaten.

-Fixed a bug where Ashley's Rebel Rush skill didn't actually raise her crit chance for the next turn.

-Fixed a bug where Ashley's Acidic Adhesive skill didn't actually reduce the target's AGI.

-Ula no longer powers up her big scary magic attack while K.O'd during her arena fight.

-Fixed Vespa's dialogue upon completing the 'Crocodon Carnage Gumbo' quest looping back to her 'you don't have all the ingredients' line.

-Ringmaster Crelle now checks to see if Arci is in the party if you encounter her at the end of the Vore Gauntlet (this is necessary to ensure the skill point for completing a gauntlet without Arci in the party works properly.)

-During the 'Penitence Pals' quest, the objectives for collecting enough of each item will now properly autocomplete upon reaching that amount (rather than all completing at once upon leaving the area.)

-During the 'Spice of the Absent Mariner' quest, the objective for collecting enough Trade Sea Snappers will now properly autocomplete upon reaching the required amount of snappers.

-During the 'Butting In' quest, the objectives for collecting enough Trade Sea Snappers and Kal'Ra Stonespines will now properly autocomplete upon reaching the required amount of each fish.

-Fixed being able to Mine Ringmaster Crelle and Thadron for gold and jewels. Crelle has no love for golddiggers.

-The Holy Lance weapon now actually has a chance to inflict Blind on hit as its description states.

-Fixed a bunch of extremely minor typos, graphical/audio glitches, and other inconsistencies throughout the game.

KNOWN ISSUES

-There may still be an ancient bug hanging around somewhere that is causing Arci's face graphic to change back to her possessed version some time after Kortis relinquishes control over her. I've made some tweaks to try and catch the bug as of this patch, but it's a tough one to nail down. If you encounter it in the new patch, let me know!
