Hey Guys, it's been a while since our big work towards the Perth Game Festival. Now, we're moving on towards the Murdoch Student Showcase. At this stage in Week Eleven, we now have 5 Levels in development, with refinements needed for all the levels (some more than others).
Level 4 is the first level we began to build that moves outside of a tutorial, allowing us to try out engaging level designs without the need to explain something before you start. This lets us have more fun making levels, and allows us to make the levels more fun for players.
Level 5 is a new type of level, introducing water and some water mechanics in an big open environment placed within a mountain range. As the player traversers from point a to point b, we introduce the basic concept of the water mechanics and the new bombs. It's not meant to be complex, but it also makes for a more disguised form of tutorial.
Some Updates on Technical Progress of the game so far:
Water fill/Unfill mechanic introduced
Climbing movement introduced
Bomb that destroys breakable objects
Game Manager and Level Loader
Title Screen, menu and setting screen updates
Settings system introduced
Bug Fixes
Performance Tweaks
