In this very first devlog, we are going to talk about the latest 1.0.14 version of our game, Spicy Party. This version includes several evolutions that we've been working on recently, as well as the correction of a few bugs.
The majority of changes in this update concern the game's main menu.
We first wanted to improve the main menu notifications to make them more consistent. In the previous version, notifications were limited to exclamation points on the main menu buttons when items could be retrieved. We changed this by replacing exclamation points with numbers indicating the exact number of items recoverable in a specific menu.
We've also added notification icons directly in the store, identical to the old ones this time.
Still in the store and to facilitate navigation and readability in the menu, the two buttons for purchasing items with different currencies are now on a single item, unlike the previous version where each item appeared in duplicate with a different currency button on each.
On the main menu, you'll now find a carousel of images that will scroll across the top left of the screen. They will redirect you directly to the store if you click on them if you are interested in the items displayed.
Coins are now displayed directly on the main menu next to the tacos.
Additionally, you can now unlock free gold coins or tacos by clicking on the little “+” and watching an ad.
The descriptions of tile effects have been reworked to be more precise, as well as the description of “Spice Level” in the game creation settings.
Below is the list of bugs fixed for this new version:
