v2.2 Update!

The final step in our journey

Heyo everybody, we're back with the final update!

The team has been hard at work over the summer, while also being sure to relax and enjoy their break. We've been working on a quite a lot of things, such as adding new maps, fixing bugs, balancing the game, and improving the player experience!

Changes

Balance

• Every signature's knockback has been adjusted to kill quicker. The damage percentage of many attacks has also been increased. The game should move quicker and kill players past 200% with one hit. 
• Abilities such as down light, side light, and Scorpio has gotten increase end lag to prevent spam abuse. No more getting perma stunned!
• Pisces Rework! The ability has gotten a whole new animation to feel more impactful and powerful. Take your rod out, and fling your fish at the enemy!

Quality of Life

• Added a victory screen at the end of each game. Now you can prove to your friends you're better than them.
• Added a kill feed. Easily track who was the person that knocked you off the stage.
• Prompt the player to change their username when in the lobby.
• When in the lobby, all players must ready up before having the host commence.
• Lobby has new gifs to better explain how your attacks will hit an enemy. 

Maps

Our artists has been grinding it out to bring you these new maps! These are amazing maps that bring out new variety of game play and metas. Check them out!

Aurora

This map is a new take on the classic! Looking into the skies, you'll spot the constellations representing the zodiac signs you're fighting with. Explore what a familiar looking layout now has to offer.

Colosseum

Visual Effects

• A few of the attacks will have a bit more life to them now! VFX has been implemented to both visually improve the move, and provide better feedback for how attacks hit.

Conclusion

While this may be the last Celestial Clash update, this isn't the end of the journey! Many of the developers who has been working on this will move on to more astonishing, ambitious projects. Please support them in anyway you can.

Before we end off, I would love to the thank the team for their endless work one more time. With this, marks the culmination of our nine months journey together. The amount of passion poured into this project helped transformed this project into something so much more. The countless hours of meeting together and doing our best to make this game something worth playing brought us here today. You are all amazing, wonderful people that I am lucky to be able to call my friends. The memories we made will be the ones I cherish very much, and will be what I remember when I think back to the beginning of my game developer journey. With all my love, I wish you all the best.
