Want voice acting in your visual novel ?
New plugin Speech, Adds text reading functionality synthesized voices. It can be activated in the "Add-on" section of the project settings, after that, speech synthesis settings will be available in the dialog editor and text panel options, dialogue and buttons. In these settings, you can both globally and locally select the reading speed and voice from those available for the specified language.
You can specify that text reading should start when a dialog is launched or when a button is clicked.
Warning! This feature is experimental and has some limitations.
Depending on operating systems and browsers, the catalog of available voices may differ.
You can select multiple voices to read, in which case the engine will use the first one available, or use the default voice for the system.
Also be aware that not all languages have speech synthesis and this feature may not be available on older systems and mobile platforms.
New function "aspect ratio" allows you to scale the size of the game screen while maintaining proportions. To do this, you need to specify the initial screen size in the project settings. Additionally, you can specify a color and image for the background.
Fixed a very old bug that prevented the creation of a visual novel without Next and Back buttons in the interface.
