In today's update, I added a bonus to a character's slider if they have "handling" or "tackle" skill. I also added some neat little "+" sprites so you can tell that the character is talented :)
I also cleaned up the shield sprites, which are supposed to show when a character is in range to defend a kick, but didn't update correctly so they mostly just polluted the screen with visual noise. They're much more well-behaved now.
For my next trick, I think I'm going to start implementing a prototype of the campaign mode. I have a few thoughts, but really no strong feeling about how it should work, so the first attempt will probably be garbage!
