Content-wise, I ended up deciding to have the same content as here, because the point I wanted for an extended demo seems a bit risky as the dating system needs more assets and scripting for me to truly release a proper extended demo, and I prefer to have that effort on getting the whole story and art done for now.
It paid off as the main story is done and I am now focusing on the character routes while all of October will be basically me drawing something each day. I don't know how much traction my game on Steam will get, probably not much so I'm a bit skeptical that I just wasted 100 USD (a month's worth of food money), but if you want to share the link and wishlist, then I'd be very grateful. Though I admit I had a problem uploading the Mac version on to Steam, and so it is likely that the mac version will be fully on itch.io only, but we will see.
