I want to express my gratitude for your interest in my game and adding it to your 'wish list'; it means a lot. Please share it with your friends and acquaintances. Your interest only fuels my enthusiasm.
Yes, development is progressing slowly, and there are several reasons for that:
- I work, and in my free time, I'm working on the game, but unfortunately, I don't have as much free time and energy.
- I live in Ukraine, and the current events have disrupted my routine a bit, but I've returned to it and even increased my pace.
The game is not abandoned and continues its development. In the relatively near future, I'm planning to release it into early access with three missions (although I can't guarantee a specific time, but I'm doing my best).
I listen to your feedback and take note of the identified errors, and I'm working on fixing them.
New update
New features include the addition of a camera, where you can take photos. These photos will also be displayed during the final questions, and you can delete them if needed. I'm also adding an inventory system.
I've taught Bron to run, and next, I'll teach him how to crouch. Although there was a mishap with running where he started running through walls as if they weren't there, but I'll fix that.
There are two more missions in development, and I'll share more details about them later.
The second mission
The second mission will differ from the first in terms of scale and activity. In the storyline, Detective Bron will be searching for a journalist who has gone missing (a bit of a cliché, but why not). The journalist was working on a story about various historical cults and ended up on an island where she lost contact. Our task is to find her. I should mention right away that there won't be any magic involved.
The island, although small, will require some running around. Additionally, there will be action elements if your investigation demands it.
I won't reveal more details for now :)
And here are a couple of rough screenshots.
The third mission
The third mission is similar to the first in that it takes place in a confined location. However, in this mission, you'll have to deal with documents and a phone. Yes, you'll have to make calls to people.
Here, we'll be investigating the sudden death of the owner of an antique shop. During the investigation, we'll need to call witnesses and suspects to find the culprit. And to prevent your eyes from getting tired from all the paperwork and notes, you'll have a beautiful view outside the window.
About the plans and conclusion
As I mentioned earlier, I plan to release the game in early access with three completed missions in winter. I still have to finish two missions and address several errors and issues in the first one.
Additionally, there are some general issues to be addressed, such as the bug with passing through walls. The starting language will be English so that players who don't know Russian won't feel uncomfortable (for those who do know Russian, I'm not offending you; I know you can easily change the language to Russian in the settings).
A bit about early access
Early access will allow me to receive financial support, and if the income is stable, even at a minimum of $500 per month, I'll be able to quit my job and dedicate all my time to game development.
After the game's release in early access, regardless of the earnings, I will continue to create missions based on your wishes and feedback, as well as fix errors. Let's be realistic; no matter how hard I try to fix them before release, there will still be some, and any critical errors that hinder normal gameplay will be addressed as a top priority, although I don't anticipate there should be many critical ones.
Those who purchase the game during early access will receive all additional content automatically and for free. As I plan to release new missions in small batches of 2-3 at a time, the price will increase with each batch.
Once again, thank you for your attention to my game. Please add it to your wish list and share it with your friends. I'll keep you informed about the progress of mission development and other updates throughout the development process.
Wishing you all good health and good luck!
