Multi-tile Selection is Here!

Sprytile
A downloadable tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux

It's been a long road, getting from there to here.

It's been a long time, but multi tile is finally here.

Look, I just have a lot of nostalgic fondness for Star Trek Enterprise okay?

I've been talking about it since I first posted about the 0.4.0 release, but now it's finally here! Multi tile selection is really here!

Multi tile selection means you can work with less tile grids in your scene while gaining even more flexibility with how you use your tiles.

In my experimentation with the workflow, it really speeds up building with tile based models and opens up new possibilities that I did not consider. I'm really excited to get this release out of the door!

Unfortunately, to get this release out, I've had to disable cursor flow since it got complex to deal with while getting multi tile working. I'll definitely be working on getting it working again in future releases.

Multi tile selection brings significant changes to the Sprytile workflow so my next focus will be on updating the documentation. Don't fret if that sounds boring, I also have some neat new features coming up in the pipeline soon!

Thanks for reading this and I hope you enjoy this new feature!

If Sprytile has been useful for you, please consider giving it your support by making a donation on the itch.io page or by giving Sprytile an honest rating. I appreciate all your help!

I leave you now with a gif of a test dungeon I built with the new Sprytile tools, created  using an existing  2D tileset asset. If you make anything with Sprytile, I'd love to know about it! Leave a message on the forum or you can always reach me on twitter at @chemikhazi
