v0.1.0 Release Notes - Initial Demo Release
v0.1.0 - Initial Demo Release
There’s not much to say here other than this is the initial release of Sedensura.
Main Features
- A single level that provides the player with enemies to beat, platforming challenges to overcome, and a boss fight at the end.
- Simple options that allow you to change the audio levels for the music and sound effects.
- Collectibles scattered throughout the level that can unlock a secret ending.
- A movement system with jump buffering, coyote time, and simple attack canceling.
Future Work
I don’t have plans to complete Sedensura. However, if it gains enough interest, these are the first features I’ll work on. If there’s enough demand, I may update the demo with some of these features before I work on the complete game.
- Look into using a different game engine or decide I’m willing to pay for the features Unity provides.
- Control re-binding
- Possibly have some preset control schemes for keyboard controls (Arrow key preset vs. WASD preset)
- Ability to skip cutscenes and credits
- Refactor movement and combat code so it doesn’t become too unwieldy
- Finalize the lore to help create a design brief for the rest of Sedensura’s levels
