Chambers of the Lost ver. 0.1.4 is out now! The focus on this update was mainly balancing, also refining what has already been created, to play better and dialing back the difficulty just a bit. Also, there are more Talents added which allow you to heal and cure poison but requiring TP earned during battle. Opening new options to heal and cure, but still being something that has to be managed and earned a bit too.
Changes in Alpha Version 0.1.4
- New Skills for Main Character (First Aid | Siphon Venom), allowing you to heal a bit and cure poison state with Skills, but they cost TP to use which must be built in battle. Giving new options to heal yourself. This will create a new mechanic to the battle system.
- Icons for nearly all Items, Weapons, Armor, Skills, and States have been added. Allowing each item to have a unique image to stand out.
- The Fog is fixed and now properly animated on all maps. No more static fog image when you leave spawn.
- Enemy Encounters have been adjusted to ensure easier encounters are much more common than more challenging and extreme battles in the beginning.
- Enemy Encounter Rate has been adjusted from 20 steps average between battles to 28, making battles slightly less frequent.
- EXP given for battles has been nearly doubled for all enemies.
- Stats have been lowered for most Enemies in the game.
- Scorpions Battle AI has improved to include more attacks and the frequency of them (previously they were prone to poison attack nearly every turn, this was unfair even with the 35% chance to get poisoned.)
- The chance to escape battles has been improved, from 60% to 90%. Failed escapes were too frequent and caused extra damage. When encountering large units that you're wise to flee from.
- Challenges of the Chamber has been added to "End Game" content, the games already difficult enough without using handicaps. For now it is reserved for the end of the demo, when your characters are stronger and giving a little content to experience after you beat the demo.
- Removed the Character Properties menu from the Status menu, it was just blank bios from a plugin used.
- Fixed a bug discovered by D757 Gaming, where an event was ran as parallel by mistake, causing a dialogue loop you could not escape, essentially crashing the game.
- Added a Sign Post north of the spawn area, with the purpose of guiding new players a little. This may be move or removed in future updates.
