2023 Sep Progress: How many CGs/Sprites?

Sully Project Feedback Demo
A downloadable bad prototype for Windows and macOS

SEPTEMBER
I hope one check-in a month isn't too spammy or annoying. I'd hate to be flooding people's inboxes with these... but I do have some pretty juicy news. I hope to have editing done by the 18th. From there, I'll have to buckle down on sprites and CGs. Those sprites will be fun to make—On Sully alone, with 6 body poses, 21 faces between them, and 6 outfits to choose from (depending on where the sprites end up cropped), that'll be potentially 126 combinations! If his briefs and/or towel get cut off by the UI (very possible) there might be less. We'll just have to see! CGs are a different beast entirely—there are 24 sets of planned CGs (10 of which are "adult" in nature).
Now, Ren'Py tells me that the current word count is just over 44,100 words... keeping in mind that many of those words are based on choices the player makes, a converter online tells me that an average reader gets through that in about 340 minutes. Something tells me that my VN is definitely less than 5 hours long, so I'll have to time myself reading at a leisurely pace.
Now. No promises about a release date. But it would be amazing (and a miracle!) to have this out before winter. The story takes place in the fall, so late October would be ideal. But I haven't even touched music yet. Still, I'll be more and more certain of the release date as I approach completing this thing.
