I decided to change the art style to a simple color pallet and a flat shading style. When I first made the assets for this game I didnt realize how much space textures can take up and how that directly translates to the size of Small RPG
The .pck file was at 330 mb and now after getting rid of most of the ,aterials but one it is down to 40mb. I am still experimenting as I want to try a few things with the style but the simplicity of this means I can focus on making the game rather than fixing texture issues. The loading time for the project was horrible and now it is reasonable.
