A new update to Lost For Swords just dropped, with lots of improvements and additions:
The big one: reworked what happens between floor. There are now 5 different “people” that offer different services:
The clue: you can only visit 2 each floor. Money is now exclusively used to buy cards in the shop, and upgrading is now free, but limited to 2 per visit to the Cardsmith. Selling cards got more lucrative too, but is also limited to 3 per visit to the Merchant.
Renamed health to HP: is more clear and more in line with other games in the genre. And shorter too, which helps with the limited space on cards
Reworked Backtrack: you now lose half of your HP each time you backtrack. Is more punishing at first, but the random aspect is gone and players can strategize better. Also, it never outright kills you, even with 1 HP. This prevents “dead-man-walking”, where players are already dead but still need to play the room to know for sure
Lots of improvements and tweaks to the early game, which hopefully make the game more accessible, especially for beginners:
Upgraded cards can now be viewed in the gallery
Reworked hero weapon and armor stack visuals in landscape mode
Card portrait improvements, tinted many weapons and armor more blue-ish, to make them look more like metal
Reworked Row of Fire: now called Fire Column, does what it says
Reworked To Arms: now only grants +Weapon Attacks while enough Weapons are equipped
Fixed Infused Dagger bug, where +1 Reusable would not trigger
Fixed crash bug when upgrading a card too much
