Hi guys, I hope you all are doing well. This is going to be a long post so be prepared.
I got an announcement to make but before that I would like to thank all our patreons and followers. Shout out to all the OG patreons for sticking with us on this ambitious journey. And I welcome all our new Patreons who have recently joined our band. Thank you for all your love and support, we really appreciate it. We got some great feedback for v0.3's update and some great suggestions to improve our game as well. I am just glad that you guys enjoyed this update and hopefully we continue to impress you all.
Now coming to business. Some of you might already know what this announcement is going to be about as I had talked about this a few months ago in our monthly devlog. For all of you who don't know what I am talking about, I basically had mentioned how we were burned out making v0.3 and we were struggling with the finances. I admitted that v0.3's development was way too long than expected/planned but it was a pretty big update and it literally had almost same amount of cgs and animations as v0.1 and v0.2 combined. So it's pretty obvious that it took us so long to complete it. But honestly we don't want that to happen again, so that's why we are going to implement the new release strategy that I had mentioned in that devlog. "Smaller but faster" updates! From here on, our aim will be to release an update every 3-4 months. The update will have small but will have decent amount of content in it. Our aim is to be more consistent and not spend too much time on a single update. This way both you and I will be satisfied and happy. We have already started working on our next update (v0.3.5) and the first event's script is already written. I am excited for you all to play this new upcoming update and I am sure that the people who have already played v0.3 will be excited to play the next update as well.
Anyway, besides that announcement there's another thing that I wanted share in this post. Yep, it's that other major change that I had mentioned in one of the devlogs. And that is "Monetizing". Here's the thing, as much as we enjoy developing this game, unfortunately I have to say that this game's development has become a very expensive hobby. So financial support is very very essential for this game's future development. Whatever this game has been generating so far, I have reinvested it back into the game and it's definitely not enough to afford the development. And like I said we love this game but obviously we are not rich enough to afford it's development forever. 2d games are really hard to develop, it takes alot of hardwork and resources to develop one. So we definitely are looking to monetize it. And after v0.3's release, I feel like the game now has enough content in it to be considered for monetizing. Below are the changes that are being made.
