Note that the public release will be in 3 weeks. You can also skip the waiting time by buying Star Knightess Aura on itch.
A new release has been born. There is no particular thing that this release focuses on, outside of closing out the remaining content for Chapter 2-B. The line that go finished this month is the Winterfall quest line. To summarize the update in numbers, we have 7 new corruption scenes, of which 2 are lewd scenes, 2 new H-CGs, 2 new custom menus, 5 new boss fights, 1 new area, and a bunch of additions as usual! As ususal, this post is mostly a summary post. For more details, please check out the weekly devlog posts.
In the real world, we have progress on reaching a good point for Chapter 2-B. The storyline from Elizabeth, George's older sister got an update, as did Rose's corruption story, which also includes a new lewd scene. On Aura's side, we have finally made the jump to the lewd streaming job, missing only one more scene to reach the last scene Chapter 2-B. Finally, we also got just a little more progress on the main events for breaking Aura's and George's relationship. Next corruption week, i think I can wrap up the Chapter 2-B events for real world cheating sex and removing the mental Guardian George.
In Roya, we have progress on three fronts. First of all, as mentioned above the Winterfall storyline reaches its end in the form of the final fight against the Demon Generals of Gluttony and Envy. Then, on the second front, the Reverse Summoning Ritual has received the first area. Which is mostly a tutorial area but it does come with two boss fights.
For those who followed the development, after some testing I decided to change the rules here a bit and make it that as long as you have enough of the resource unique to this dungeon, "Souldust", defeat won't lead to a gameover but just to a normal forced day end. And when you respawn, you will automatically be forced to continue the ritual. The reason behind this is that unlike the Festival, this area doesn't have corruption reducting effects like the Purification spell. Which means that it heavily restricts the corruption I can hand out. Btw please not that the Reverse Summoning Ritual is a point of no return but not finished! You can start it to check it out but make sure you have a save before it since you cannot return to your normal plathrough until it's completed! (But
By having the normal day rythm included, you still suffer from the consequence of needing to fight with what you have, but you also are able to replenish your resources or spent over-corruption inbetween. Certain rules like womb of lust's masturbation when starting with 0 WP are getting ignored in this case, which is a bit weird and the reason why I tried to avoid this, but after some testing I believe the upsides are worth it.
The last front is just a minor one I worked on this week, you can now challenge the remaining duelists for the Verdeaux Duelists for a duel, completing that quest as well.
Finally, we move a bit to the technical side, where you have now gained the option to gift your books to companions. Besides giving them books, you can also give them consumeables here, instead of having to wait for the them to accompany you on a quest.
Speaking about the technical side, there we also have the aforementioned two new custom menus to simply some common ingame menus I had intially made using default RPGMaker tools. Crafting things at the game's alchemists and blessing your items has become a much faster process. Other than that, most technical changes are bugfixes. Balancing wise, you will no longer be AGI crippled when getting the Platformer Heels transformation, but only if you have learned the Seductive Stance II skill. Otherwise, you will still get debuffed. Brittle II has received another minor buff, now being a valid auto-spell as well. Mostly to add some more variety in the auto-spell slot.
On the asset side, we also have new H-CGs, this time for the wearing richard's ring event and for the soap job. And the streamer costume has been added to the game for the lewd streaming event chain.
And that mostly covers it! Release is a bit earlier because I moved a ticket to next week. Maybe not really progress, but I was on gamescom yesterday and today and used the opportuntiy to do some exchange and networking with the local indiedevs. Was nice to exchange experiences, although it wasn't too deep. I will definitely try that again next year, maybe there's also some new talent to be acquired from there.
With that, have fun with the release, I hope we don't need a hotfix (although it wouldn't surprise me considering Trihan did a lot of work this month)
