HDR Demo is a small passion side project with the aim of informing gamers and creators a like on HDR, how their displays work and what to look for both in your games and stuff you create. It's also a vector for me to experiment with HDR on my own terms as I plan to update my projects soon.
Right now it's just a tester but over time I intend to add multiple experiments, some guides, and other things to make it more of a fully fleshed out HDR demo and tool.
I hope this alleviates some confusion about the topic, with how many things have the term HDR in it what it is often gets lost in translation.
Right now there's no illustrative features for SDR displays, so the information may be confusing. But I've considered adding things like a togglable bloom to help illustrate HDR values. Alone with things like a heatmap.
This is a side project, so updates will be slow as I shift back to my main work. But your feedback is extremely valuable. In particular, telling me what kind of things you'd like to see to better understand HDR. Here's a bullet list of some current plans.
If there's anything else you'd like to see or have issues let me know! Post here or in the discussion forums!
