#the capture games #update #devlog
Welcome! Welcome!
As promised from the initial launch a few weeks ago, the v1.1 Update is finally here! I've been working hard to address something I couldn't get to before launch, alongside some special additions that were requested by fans as a thank you for your patience!
Fixes! A couple of tweaks to make your experience with The Capture Games a little more enjoyable!
New Forest and Cliff Areas!
There are two new maps for both the Forest and the Cliff sides of the island that are mixed into the random pool for each run, adding more variety to each attempt.
New Modes - Bimbo Mode, Wild Mode, and Featherweight Mode!!!
Thanks to a wonderful fan suggestion and a little bit of hard work on my part, experience players can now enjoy three new modes! Bimbo Mode, Wild Mode, and Featherweight Mode are Large Island challenged where you start the run changed into the respective transformation and you're stuck there for the entire attempt!
All of the benefits and drawbacks from your favorite transformation without any worry of changing back! Much like the other modes, it's three strikes and you're out! You also can't just stand around to recover Stamina anymore either, so you have to be extra careful. On the other hand, stats are not capped while transformed, so you might just have an insane run.
After winning the "Island - Large" challenge at least once and getting the achievement, these three new modes will be available to select from the Difficult Woman. There are also challenge for completing them under the "Extras" and statistics in the book alongside the rest of the special challenges.
Other Things
I've taken the liberty to add some nice, relaxing environmental ambience to the Forest and Cliff maps based on a suggestion that another fan made. Lovely stuff!
I've also enabled the FOV (Field of View) option in the Options menu for players to adjust to their comfort level... although I don't really recommend messing with it too much, since turning it up too much makes even me nauseous. Still, the option is now there and the power is yours!
With that all said and done, barring any critical fixes, I'll be turning my attention to getting the Steam version of The Capture Games ready for September (dang approval process is always so slow) so for those of you waiting to pick it up there, stay tuned!
Yes, you can transfer your save file! Just Copy your "save" folder from the "www" directory from the old version and Paste it into the "www" directory of the new version.
Thank you all once again for the support and kind words! I'm so happy that The Capture Games was received so well and I hope you're as excited for the next project as I am! Who knows, there might be more The Capture Games updates in the future.
