Alpha 6
This week updates reworks the Health Bonus/Drops mechanic by making it the game’s 5th Artifact. It also brings some balance changes (leaderboard wasn’t reset as they’re not big enough) and some polishing.
Changelog
New Artifact - Health Drops
- Health Drops were moved to an Artifact.
- Icon for the Artifact & Upgrades was changed to better fit the mechanic.
- Health Regen Upgrades have been renamed Health Drop.
- Upgrades stay the same but they’re now only unlocked if you have the artifact.
- Health doesn’t drop anymore between Waves without the Artifact.
Balance
- Increased Base Player Speed from 8.5 to 9.
- Increased Base Shield from 1 to 3.
- Lowered Bricks per Line Increment per Wave to 0.15 from 0.175.
- Changed Bricks’ Life to 0.35+0.4xWave from 0.45+0.35xWave.
- Increased the speed of Health Drops from 8 to 10.
UI
- Added a small animation to the Score.
- Limit Line is now Blue when Shield is active.
Other
- Increased “Wave Cleared” text’s duration from 1.5s to 1.75s.
- Added an extra 0.25s time between the Wave Cleared & Wave Start texts.
- Wave Start, Wave Clear & Perfect Wave texts are now localized.
- The Localization System now handles texts with variables.
- The Localization System now displays the English text as a fallback when a translation is missing. It’d show an empty text before.
- Upgrades’ titles and descriptions are now handled by the Localization System. Translations for languages other than English aren’t written yet, so it’ll fall back to the english.
- Some minor changes in Upgrades’ descriptions.
- Fixed Health Drops’ Amount not being reset properly between runs.
