v1.1 Update
I just released a new update to the printable and pcio versions of QQ Step! Alas, I don't expect the digital version will be updated ever again.
The changes in this version include:
- Adjusted Beat Drops. Some of DJ Dues's Beat Drops felt a little unbalanced, as some favored DJ more. "Praise the DJ" now gives the opponent a discount on their unique powers, "Cha-Cha Slide" doubles the kudos the opponent gets each turn, and now "Center of Attention" drops the immediate kudo payment on trigger.
- Cleaned up Character Sheets. I cleaned up the effect verbiage to be a bit more clear, and I added the almighty 0 to the kudo track.
- Pictures in Rulebook. Also I cleaned it up a bit.
Nothing too major! I don't expect another update after this. I think the balance is to my liking. But who knows, maybe something will jump out at me after a year like with Stardust Butterfly.
Post-Mortem
The Robot Party discord held a collective post-mortem event last weekend and I took part! You can view my presentation here. I didn't have time for everything, but I talked about all the stuff I really wanted to talk about. The only things not mentioned (besides some in-depth talks about programming from MeBID or music from chvage) is stuff like additional references (Manny is inspired by Jianyu in the Good Place, Solveig's outfit, or the little you see, is inspired by the Twice outfits in thier Can't Stop Me music video) or an extended look at prototypes and playtesting. I'm really looking forward to next year!
