Benefits of this version:
- Looks nicer, especially on higher resolutions
- Fog of war is more fog-like
- Might run more fluid in browser
Current known shortcomings:
- Requires about 5 GB actual VRAM (SDL would fall back to RAM)
- Mouse pointer in browser does not change shape or colour
- Initial texture loading progress is not reported in browser and the browser might claim that "the tab is slowing you down" – be patient
- Resetting single player game will leak ~150 MB VRAM until game is closed
