Hello,
During the last month, we have made improvements to UI and adjusted creep stats to make the game more balanced and fun to play. We have also finally implemented difficulties beyond the default easy difficulty.
Gameplay is becoming increasingly similar to the original Warcraft 3 map! Nearly all core mechanics have been implemented.
The game can currently be played as a demo. You won't be able complete the game because only the weakest (common) towers are currently enabled. Expect to get overwhelmed by creeps at the following levels:
You're welcome to try and beat our rough estimates though!
UI has been improved in multiple ways. First, there's a new reworked tower menu. This menu replaces old menu's and combines them into one panel. This new tower menu displays all the essential information and allows you to upgrade, sell or change tower items.
Secondly, there's now a pregame settings menu. This menu opens before the game starts and here you can select the game mode, wave count and difficulty. Note that game modes are still a work in progress so currently only the "Build" game mode is available.
And finally, you can now pause the game by pressing F10.
Up to this point a lot of creep stats like health or armor have been placeholders. Over the last month, we have replaced all of these placeholders with real values to create correct game progression which provides a fair challenge. The full list of stats that were adjusted is:
We have also adjusted some wave properties:
We have implemented the income system. You will now gain extra gold after each wave.
Creeps can now drop consumable items which give instant bonuses to your resources as well as other special effects.
Tower abilities can now be casted manually. Before, they were always automatic but now you can toggle between automatic and manual casting modes. We have also added a cooldown indicator.
