It's John Bond! Here is the August update:
V.5 has been released, which means over half of the Labyrinth's run is ready for Early Access. In the next couple months, the game loop should feel mildly polished, with no blank gray walls or placeholder sounds!
We are also doing bits of important polish here and there, like Zinnia kicking objects and Iris being carted away when defeated.
It's a very different experience to get to the point of game development where we are not constantly adding new features or fully rearranging variables. The game is finally in Alpha. It's buggy, it's basic, and it needs lots of content, but it's finally starting to improve.
Future patches have turned from creating fully new systems to just making good looking walls and adding animations to previously still sprites. This is great, because it means marketing can look way better before the Kickstarter.
We are nearing our Kickstarter, which is planned to run from September 15th-Oct 15th. We will be releasing the Kickstarter Wishlist page soon, which is where people can follow the project and be notified when it is up! It's wild to see how quickly the journey has led us to this moment, and so much is thanks to the constant support of our friends, fans, testers, and of course, the great Dev team working with us.
The next big update will be more info regarding the Kickstarter, probably around the start of September. Talk to you then!
