An Update?! On Comet Kicker?!
Hey there! I know I don't update this game very often but I finally set aside some time to polish it up since releasing it last year. I decided to experiment a bit with this update and added in a choice-based upgrade system, along with some other cool stuff.
Here are some of the changes:
- You now gradually unlock powers as you get higher scores and you can choose what kind of stats you want to upgrade
- Upgrade your health to take more hits from enemies
- Upgrade your combo meter to increase the maximum combo multiplier for more points on successive attacks
- Upgrade the base points you receive from a Mystery Block so that you can move through the early phases of the game faster
- Some minor visual tweaks to particles and character graphics
- Updated the logo to use a white/purple scheme (I just think it looks better)
- Some general bug fixing / QoL improvements
This was really fun to dive back into Comet Kicker after so long! Hopefully I can get time to play around with its systems again soon.
