In a game about Slide-Jumping, what better mechanic to implement than Grind Rails?
These will be introduced in the second level - An urban sprawl worn down by centuries of disrepair. The goal with these is to wordlessly invite the player to try sliding on them. What will they do when they run out of rail?
Well, they'll jump.
This mechanic gives me a whole framework for teaching *some* of the intricacies behind Strata's movement system. It's up to the player to think about where else this tech might be useful...
