happy friday! back on the regular day this week!
I made some good progress since the last update. I'm one step closer to actually making this project into a genuine game, and one of these first steps is the new tool selector. this selector is the main way that we can interact with the world, and it also will be the key to progression via unlocks. for example, the "net" tool will not actually be available at the very start of the game, but it will be available after, say, finishing an NPC quest. (it will be the very first unlockable item, I believe).
along those same lines, you may notice there is a "build" tool. for now, it doesn't do anything, but very soon, it can be used to create small structures within the world by using resources. let's call them buildings, to match the "build" tool. I have several buildings planned out, so by the next update there will be some to build! ...no promises that they'll actually do anything in the next update though...
