This is so much harder than I thought

Can't Hold My Feelings
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Hello there! You haven't heard from me in a long time (10 days), and I want people to know the project is still going on, but at a slower pace than I originally anticipated. As a present for you, here's one of Monica's sprites!
Who did she see? There's only one person who  can make her so sparkly...


The first deadline that I set for CHMF wasn't considering a couple of things, first of them being... the writing itself. I should've known better, I'm not the type who settles for an average result. If I do something, I want to do it well. And doing things well requires time, especially if the writing is a key aspect of what I'm doing, as in this case. I want my characters to brim with charisma and personality, because I'd like people to think: "Wow, they're really cool!"
You know... mother's pride.

My partner in crime, the one who's in charge of the visual part, also feels the same way. She's putting a lot of effort in making these sprites as good as possible, and I don't want to rush things. This small vn is a benchmark for the bigger project "Estelle", that's why I should polish it as much as I can. Like I said in another devlog, this could be a proper visual novel and not just an experiment, like Inappropriate Touch was (a really cute experiment though. And we WILL put sprites on it, too).

So, to sum up:

  • Writing is about 70% completed (ONLY MONICA'S ROUTE)
  • Sprites are about 20% completed
  • Translation, backgrounds, UI, music are NaN completed 

In the end, I think you won't be seeing this game done until the end af August, which could still be an optimistic deadline... once I finish the script, I should be able to adjust the ETA better, and I'll let you know accordingly.
