Build report Resonate DEMO v.0.2D
Hey, it's been a few years! Here's an update for Resonate, a lot has been added and changed.
- Combat texts have been drastically reduced.
- Added damage numbers that appear on the screen when healing, attacking, or receiving a hit.
- Increased the speed of combat texts.
- Implemented a new conversation system in the game, including speech animations, more satisfying letter appearances, and varied colors and sizes of text.
- Added a sprint button with running animations for the party and player characters. Running is only possible outside.
- Increased the base walk speed.
- Adjusted enemy speed based on the player's running speed and base walk speed.
- Modified the behavior of the "Mallangry" enemies. They will chase the player if the player is running.
- If an enemy touches any member of the party, combat against that enemy begins.
- Added two new enemies, one of them being a mini-boss.
- Added new music tracks.
- Added new items.
- Added new cutscenes to the game, and made significant changes to many existing cutscenes.
- Added new NPCs in the dream world.
- Implemented a new type of interactive NPC that roams around in a specific area.
- Added a shortcut to the haystack.
- When going through a wrong path in the cornfield, you now return to the same scene instead of the beginning of the cornfield.
- Improved visibility of visual cues indicating the correct paths in the cornfield.
- The burned tree on the dirt road opens up as the story progresses.
- Added enemy perception icons to indicate when they notice your presence or when they respect you.
- Made changes to some areas, including updated sprites and adjusted placement of obstacles.
- Removed hard scenes and scenes that are not part of the current story.
- Adjusted status effects. Blindness can last up to a maximum of 3 turns, and bleeding causes more damage.
- Added a lobby scene used during game production.
- Addressed various combat, visual, and cutscene bugs.
- Language changes no longer require restarting the game.
- Added another quality option, 1080p.
- It is now possible to skip 99% of the in-game text.
- Added the option to increase/decrease the volume by pressing ESC in-game.
