I wanted to put out a small update tonight! While we plan to go through a major change, updating the game's engine to use a new controller API, there were some controller issues reported. In order to address those, we added some options from the game's pause menu. In particular, allowing you to ignore input from the right stick (instead of aiming the hero's gun with it), and the option to use a "pivot" style of aiming, rather than the default "strafe" style. These two combined will allow you to play with just one control stick, in case the other is giving you problems.
Our plan at the moment is to fix a couple other small bugs while we're getting started with the big task of porting the game to an updated (and still in development) version of our engine. I think this will resolve a lot of control issues, as well as greatly improve the game's feel by enabling omnidirectional movement, rather than the current lock to 8 directions.
Also, I finally added a different icon to the .exe file!
