Prototype Release!
Five Nights at Aqualand's Prototype has been released!
After a few months of hard work and many, many hours I am pleased to release the prototype of my first game to itch.io! It isn't much in the grand scheme of things but it is important for a few reasons which I will highlight below. Before I do, I just want to thank you for reading and showing interest in the project! It means more than you probably think.
Goals of the Prototype:
- The main goal of this prototype release is to begin garnering feedback on the game's major mechanics and gameplay elements. As this is a FNAF fan-game, I want to ensure the gameplay is fun and intuitive while also offering a challenge regarding how to use certain mechanics to overcome obstacles.
- The secondary goal is to determine the initial difficulty of the game. The prototype has five nights with four (five planned) animatronics which will require a lot of playtesting to determine what is fair. I am hoping to start collecting feedback on the difficulty as early as possible.
- The tertiary goal is to discover issues and squash bugs as early as possible. I am also looking to gauge interest in the game and see if what I have presented is a viable project that warrants continued progress.
I hope to continue working on this prototype for some time and feedback will be immensely helpful in making progress. Even if the feedback is negative, I appreciate it as without such criticism, I wouldn't be able to improve the experience of playing.
Thank you for reading!
