SRD Update and Expansion

VyrmHack
A downloadable game

Heyo! So after a bit of work we just finished up the next expansion to VyrmHack entitled Vyrmhack: Marshal, which will go up on the store later today.

The expansion contains:

Scenarios: Small-scale conflicts ranging from monster hunts to caravan raids, play cooperatively or competitively.

Vyrminous Banners: Fly a banner for your warband, transforming them into cunning theives, brutal knights or fell sorcerers.

Intelligent Monsters: A simple flowchart for monster actions, allowing you to play solo or cooperative games against the vyrminous beings that plague the land...

New Monsters, Magic, Artifacts, and more: Expanded material and components to add to your game as you learn more about the rotting world.

As Vyrmhack grows and changes I plan to keep it open as a living document. The System Reference Document (SRD) will always be free and available online and updated alongside expansions.

That being said, I’ll also include some updated errata of both typos and changes to the game in each physical release for those who purchased earlier versions or don’t want to have to dig around online (a sentiment I am all too familiar with).

- Thanks, now back to work,

Errata 1

1. "Stamina" is now "Strain"

2. Rolls are 3d6 instead of 2d6 (begrudgingly)

[Note: After a bunch of home games the consensus was that 2d6 worked in THEORY but not practice. I preferred the difficulty of 2d6 but so it goes.]

3. Advantage and disadvantage were changed to the following: Rolling at Advantage[+] and Disadvantage[-]: Rolling at advantage means rolling an additional dice and removing the lowest result. Rolling at disadvantage means rolling an additional dice and removing the highest result.

4. Decrepit Magus trait, updated to read: ”-1 STR, -1 DEX, and -1 V, gain one spell as if you owned its spellbook.”

5. Characters may spend their turn to Recover, removing 1 Strain per LVL.

6. Action – Hide: This action may be performed by a character who is in total darkness or out of all opponents’ line of sight. Character becomes Hidden for a round; a character who is Hidden cannot be spotted or targeted by an opponent. This effect ends if an opponent moves within melee range of a hidden character.
