It's been a while coming, but I've finally got around to releasing From Gore-Drenched Soil, my minimalist, hyper-compressed 4-page TTRPG designed to facilitate running either one-shot or anthology folk horror games. I've had a lot of fun designing and playtesting this, so hopefully you should too!
This game is deeply inspired by and indebted to games like Call of Cthulhu and Unknown Armies, but also movies like IT, the FEAR STREET trilogy, THE WICKER MAN, and so on. It can cover all manner of different settings and scenarios, but I've found it really suits sweltering, sweaty, nasty summer folk horror, hence my releasing it in the depths of what is, here in Ireland at least, a hot and humid June.
Go forth and unleash the untold terrors from the beneath the earth!
