Attention, Tile-tacticians!

We have an exciting update for you! We enhanced the skirmish mode with new game modes, customizable maps, improved UI, and balanced gameplay. 

Additionally, we refactored our UI Code, which should allow us to make a (MUCH) better tutorial soon, for the next update.

In the mean time, here are the updates for Tiles of War 0.0.4 Demo:

New Features:

  • Added option in skirmish to choose game modes:
    • Conquest: Capture at least 60% of the map to achieve victory.
    • Domination: Capture all enemy tiles or enemy buildings to achieve victory.

Skirmish Map Settings:

  • Implemented the following map settings:
    • Size: Choose the size of the skirmish map.
    • Mountain spawn rate: Adjust the frequency of mountains spawning on the map.
    • Forest spawn rate: Adjust the frequency of forests spawning on the map.
    • River spawn rate: Adjust the frequency of rivers spawning on the map.
    • Toggle fog of war: Enable or disable the fog of war feature.
    • Toggle neutral building generation: Enable or disable the generation of neutral buildings on the map.

Removed Feature:

  • Temporarily removed the Tutorial mode due to issues caused by balancing and UI refactorings. It will be reintroduced in a future update.

Gameplay Balancing:

  • First player advantage buff decreased from 4G.

UI Improvements:

  • Added lines to separate properties of units in the UI, improving visual clarity and organization.
