I actually got the chance to playtest the game, so I've made a few tweaks to the game to reflect what was learned. Mostly, the game worked as intended, so there's no big changes.
One change is that the "How do we escape this island?" mystery is always at the bottom of the rank 3 deck. This means that you have to solve at least two other big picture mysteries before you can leave the island.
The other change is I adjusted the rank 1 mystery costs upward, so they are now typically 3 or 4 in cost. This reflects my sense that maybe it was too easy to purchase mysteries once you'd solved a few.
Both changes probably mean the game will take a little longer, but still should be playable in a single session of 2-3 hours.
